The show cleverly uses its supporting characters—appearing as the voices inside Aaron’s and Casey’s heads—who allow us to see the many sides of each character’s inner turmoil. My approach to this production was to find the balance between comedy and vulnerability. This cast is not only talented, but is deeply invested in these characters. I am proud of how each actor has brought their own personal touch to the story. The result is a show that isn’t just about two people on a date—it’s about every one of us trying to navigate the tricky waters of relationships, self-perception, and the hope that somewhere along the way, our “next leap will be the leap home.”
