Director's Note:
This show is one of my favorites. From the creative storytelling, to the fun, rockin', and beautiful music, to the freedom in design and execution, Godspell gives us an opportunity to fully own the Gospel message it retells. While the authors didn't intend for it to be a proclamation of God's mercy and love, I hope you can very clearly see our intent to highlight the relationship and connection Jesus seeks with his followers and they with him. As the disciples learn more from Jesus and each other, they grow closer to each other and to him. It is not without struggle, error, or heartache, but it is fully covered and redeemed by the death and resurrection of Christ. I hope our production reminds you of Christ's love for you: that no matter where you are in life, he seeks you with open arms.
A big thank you to Ms. Cricket for stepping as Assistant Director as well as Choreographer for this production. Your creative contributions and direction have shaped this show so wonderfully.
A big thank you to Mrs. Schultz for designing the show. You developed and implemented a beautiful context for our show, one that I hope feels familiar to all of us. God comes to us where we are, no matter who we are.
To the cast and crew: Well done! We made it! And you're doing it SO WELL! I'm very proud of your hard work, dedication, long hours, and commitment to excellence in this show. I am so thankful for having worked with you!
Thank you for coming to our production and I hope you enjoy your time with us.
