Notes from the Director
There is an idea that is woven through this show that everyone's gifts are theirs to give and very personal to all of us. They are each very special and important. My role of directing this group of individuals is very important to me. There is no equal joy, and I am proud of each and every one of our cast and crew. We have worked together respecting each other's roles with consideration for what everyone is working on.
I hope that as you sit here and enjoy our show you will ponder a few things. Were you entertained? Were you impressed? Did you see something that you couldn't have experienced anywhere else on this night? Did you learn something from the show and its actors? I hope that the answer is yes to at least a few of those questions.
There are so many people who have put a lot of time on this project, and without them we couldn't have produced this. Bethany Alves brings her heart and inspirational organization every week. She didn't shy away from this huge project, and I consider her an absolute partner in crime. She is the embodiment of creating with love and dreaming big! Kathy Jones-Smith has been such a caring partner as well until her move recently. We miss her being with us every week, but her legacy still lives on. Peter Mayfield is and always will be one of our strongest assistants, and we are cheering you on with your schooling!
I want to say a special thank you to Wayne Nielsen for helping to guide me through this process. He has been an absolute gem of a human being and has been supportive of this mission here from the very start. I want to thank Kristian and Gabe for putting in all of the sweat equity and ingenuity that it required to make the space for this show possible!
I also want to share my deepest gratitude to The Innovation Labs who gave us the wonderful grant to further our dreaming, and help to make our world a more inclusive welcoming place. As always, Creative Dreamers would like to thank Pastor Kirsten and Community Lutheran Church for their continued support of this endeavor that is hopefully brightening up our community.
Last but not least, I would like to thank my family for all of their support and ideas throughout the journey. Giovani, Gabe, and Eli I love you!
