Message from the Director

Hello!

On behalf of all those involved in the production of “Anastasia,” welcome! We are very excited to have the opportunity to present this production for you today! Our students have been working extremely hard over the past several months to prepare.

I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work with such outstanding young people. Our students have jumped in head first to make sure we continue our tradition of success in the Crestview Theatre Program. They have participated in a number of fundraisers, sought out costumes, found props, and done anything and everything this production has needed. I cannot thank the students enough for making me look forward  to musical season every year.

I would like to thank all the businesses and individuals who made financial donations to our production. Like many arts organizations at this time, we have faced many challenges. I cannot express my gratitude to all those individuals who helped make this production happen. I would especially like to thank those individuals and businesses that contributed large amounts to allow us to implement the new technical aspects seen in this production, including our rotating stage and the theatrical projector.

There are several individuals that put in tireless efforts to make our productions possible. Mr. Crawford, our assistant director, and Kamden Miller, our choreographer, both help our students immensely to prepare for our performances. Ron McCloskey, who builds our sets, puts in many hours to create safe and impressive structures for shows, no matter how crazy our requests get. Mr. and Mrs. VanKirk, who put in countless hours creating our stunning costumes. The time and effort put into this is truly remarkable and we cannot thank them enough. Evan Gottschalk is another indispensable resource. As our PAC manager he runs our sound, provides sound effects, and does anything else we ask of him.

I would be remiss if I did not extend our thanks to the Crestview technology staff and custodians. They assist us with many tasks and we would not be able to make our productions happen without them!

Finally, I would like to thank the Crestview Local School District for their support. They have always made sure that our performing arts students have the opportunity to participate in the activities they love. I would especially like to thank Mrs. Nappi for all of her work and support. We would not be able to do this without her.

I hope you enjoy the Crestview High School production of “Anastasia!!”
