Crossings Christian School

 End Notes

I am incredibly proud of this production. Going into this year I experienced a great sense of nervousness as well as a bizarre sense of calm. I knew the landscape of the department was changing after the graduation of the class of 2018, and that many of our most experienced thespians would no longer be here for me to rely on. I also knew that this meant there was a significant opportunity for many of our students to step out into the light and shine in a new way. I was not disappointed.

It has been wonderful watching these students move into positions of responsibility, maturity (sometimes), and leadership with confidence and excitement. They have met and exceeded all my expectations; and have done so with joy. They have worked together with patience and encouragement, and have helped one another in those moments it was needed. This process has at times been hard, as we have learned to navigate new waters, and we have all of us been imperfect through the process.

I think this is one of the truly beautiful things about operating as the body of Christ. That, through the process of dealing with our failings and our flaws as a unit we can still work toward a common goal, and create something uniquely beautiful through the combination of our gifts, personalities, and character. I am so glad you are here to see the fruits of our labors!
