Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences (xrds.org) is a K-12, coed college preparatory school in Santa Monica, California. Crossroads was founded upon five basic commitments: to academic excellence, to the arts, to the greater community; to the development of a student population of social, economic and racial diversity; and to the development of each student’s physical well-being and full human potential. One in four students receives financial assistance. The School is highly acclaimed for its academic programs and is a leader in public/private educational partnerships.
About Summer at Crossroads
Summer at Crossroads offers a comprehensive program that models its philosophy and coursework on the Crossroads academic year curriculum. Whether enrolled in a single course or a full-day schedule, students are challenged to develop core skills, to grow in areas of special interest and to enjoy learning.
Summer at Crossroads is open to the public, and more than 850 students enroll in over 100 courses that are taught or led by more than 120 faculty and staff members. Our summer students are diverse, and come to us from more than 70 California zip codes. During the school year, these students attend more than 150 different public, independent and international schools.
To support the socio-economic diversity of our summer population, financial assistance is available through our Tuition Reduction Fund to lower the cost of classes. Many students (who do not attend Crossroads during the school year) have received tuition reduction.
Students return to our programs summer after summer, and they and their parents tell us they are thrilled with their positive and fun experiences.
