Disney's Beauty and the Beast - October 07 - October 08, 2022

Curtain Call, Inc. Theatre for Children

 End Notes

A Note from the Director:

Welcome to Beauty and the Beast! As I was reflecting on my years of directing, I thought it would be fun to look back and try to count how many shows I have directed/helped produce over the years. Thank you for being here to celebrate my 75th show!

The show you are supporting tonight could not have happened without the support of my production team, this amazingly talented cast, and their families. As a director, I believe my two strengths to be 1) casting a great show and 2) surrounding myself with people that make me look good! All of that is still true with this show. If you read Kelsey's bio, you realize that she is a jack-of-all-trades, and a very valuable asset to me and the organization. I am kind of glad she hasn't figured out how to get rid of me yet or learn to say no! Another show and another day goes by that I am so thankful for Mrs. Suze and her abilities to direct musical theatre! Laura Martin-- thank you for saying yes and coming to join our fun and help choreograph our show at the last minute; you are very appreciated. A special thank you to Tina Henderson for all her work on organizing cotumes and props, as well as stepping in to help with some choreography. Thank you to the Curtain Call Executive Board Members who stepped up and to help stage this "beast" of a show-- Angie, Eli, Candi, Chris, Amanda, Michael, and Rex-- you don't know how much your help during this show has meant to me.

When I agreed to become Curtain Call's Executive Director in February 2020, I told them that I didn't have time to direct shows for them. Long and behold did I realize God had a different plan and here I am directing my 9th Curtain Call prodcution. If you knew the Curtain Call pre-covid, you may be amazed by all the growth that the organization has undergone in the last two years. As we continue to strive to meet our mission to educate, foster creativity, adn enrich the lives of youth and adults through training and participation in the theatre arts, Curtain Call is interested in expanding our programming and adding additonal services to the communinty. If you are reading this, maybe you could become a part of the Curtain Call Legacy.

In order for Curtain Call to grow, we need passionate adults to step up and volunteer in our organization as directors, choreographers, teachers, workshop presenters, costumers, set designers and builders, make up artists, and many more. We would love to have the volunteer base to offer classes and workshops on a regular basis. If you are interested in sharing your talents with us and our performers, please reach out and let us know!

Again, thank you for saying yes and supporting Community Theatre. We strive to bringing you quality programming and family entertainment for all.

Theatrically,

Jeremy Leazenby Bruce,

Executive Director
