SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE CASE OF THE CHRISTMAS GOOSE - December 03 - December 05, 2020

Curtain and Lights Theatre Company

 End Notes

Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to come see our Christmas production of "Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Goose!"

I am very proud of this cast and crew. Each person has worked hard to learn their lines, music, blocking, etc. As a director, I enjoy watching each actor grow in their craft. They become more confident during each production and it is an absolute joy to get to be a part of their journey as an actor.

I am also very excited that "Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Goose" is the kick off production for Curtain and Lights Theatre Company's 10th Season! I cannot believe that how far we have come since 2011. We started out performing four 10 minute plays in the basement here at First Baptist Church Decatur, Alabama. We had 100 people attend. Since then, CLTC has produced 22 plays, musicals, and concerts. Our shows have played at First Baptist Church Decatur, the Chan Auditorium at UAH, the Somerville Courthouse, the Somerville Playhouse, Arab City Schools, and the Historic Princess Theatre Center for Performing Arts. Over 150 actors and actresses have been a part of our productions and thousands of patrons have sat in our audiences. CLTC has raised over $15,000.00 for mission and charity organizations. We are excited to see what our 10th Anniversary Season has in store. We have exciting plans which we are still nailing down the details. Once everything is set, we will be proud to announce our Summer 2021 10th Anniversary production! Be sure to stay up to date on audition and production information on our Facebook and Instagram accounts!

While 2020 has been a very stressful year with many ups and downs, theatre never fails to provide an escape. Each night the actors have the wonderful experience of leaving our personal lives at the door and become another person. We get to take on "someone else's" problems and adventures. The show is also there to provide our audience with an escape as well. We hope that during tonight's performance you will be able to forget whatever is going on outside these doors and enjoy your time in 1880s London!

Merry Christmas and enjoy the show!
