Hazel Brown
as Ensemble
Hazel is a 5th grade student. She made her debut with DMR in a musical, Elf Jr., in Dec. 2017, and has performed in several school plays and other productions in Charlottesville including Charlotte's Web and Aladdin. She has had a fabulous time working with Ray and her fellow cast and crew in Sherlocks. Hazel also enjoys ballet, tennis, basketball, scouts and field hockey.

Melissa Charles
Producing Artistic Director
Melissa would like to thank the wonderful creative team and staff of Sherlock(s) (especially Ray and Melissa who are in these roles for the first time with DMR), and the parents for encouraging a love of the arts in your children. She began performing as a child, which led to a professional career as an actor and led to the founding of DMR. Thanks to M & C for everything!

Maddie Chin
Assistant Stage Manager/Light Board Op
Maddie has many technical theatre credits. She has done run crew for Aristocrats Jr., 101 Dalmatians Jr., Elf Jr., Guys and Dolls Jr., and Sleeping Beauty Jr. She also did makeup for Lion King Jr., and she ran sound for Newsies. The credit she is most proud of is getting Tech All-Stars at JTF 2019. She is excited for the show, and hopes you'll enjoy it as much as she does!

Stage Manager
Melissa is thrilled to be making her stage management debut on the Belmont Arts Collaborative stage in Sherlock(s)! Since moving to Charlottesville three years ago, she's been active with DMR, volunteering with multiple productions alongside her daughter. She thanks DMR for this opportunity.

Ayla Davis

Ayla is a 6th grader. She is excited to be performing in her second DMR show. She appeared as Bobbi Jean Piper in Junie B. Jones. She enjoys playing violin, singing in her school chorus, and hanging with her friends and her cats.
