  • August Applewhite

    Tech Camp Director

    A versatile and accomplished scenic painter, scenic and costume designer, freelance artist, and photographer: August brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to every project. Hailing from the picturesque landscapes of the Rural Midwest, August's passion for art and design has been nurtured and honed throughout their journey. Currently fresh off of graduating from Sweet Briar College with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Performing Arts: Theatre, August has demonstrated an exceptional talent and dedication to their craft. Their academic pursuits have not only equipped them with a solid foundation in theatrical arts but have also fueled their artistic exploration and innovation. August is working at the University of Virginia’s Drama Department as a Theatre Technician for the 2024-2025 Academic Calendar.

  • Aislyn Ardleigh-Clark

    Costume Assistant

    Aislyn is 14 years old and a rising freshman at The Renaissance School! Some of her recent roles include Hunk/Dance corps in The Wizard of Oz Jr. (DMR Adventures), Yvette in Clue: Highschool Edition (Blue Ridge Boys School), and Emily Hobbs in Elf Jr. (Buford Middle School). She's loved getting to work on this show and would like to thank all all of the cast and crew for making this show happen, as well as her family and audience members for supporting her in the show!

    Projection Design / Costume Designer

     

    Melissa Charles is the Founder & Producing Artistic Director of DMR Adventures and Co-Founder of the BAC. A professional actor, director, & educator, she’s produced & directed over 100 productions. She's grateful to Matt, Cooper, the incredible creative team, our incredibly talented cast, and the amazing volunteers and tech crew who helped bring this show to life.
