A Note From The Director
To My Cast, Crew, and Production Team...
It has been a true joy and pleasure to work with each of you, bringing the first musical to DHS in over twenty years. Your passion, dedication, and spirit have motiviated me, and inspired me to work though even some of the most difficult of times.
I absolutely love directing high school musicals, but what I love even more is building a community of student artists who work together to produce something they can be proud of. My favorite moment in the whole process has been, and will always be watching each of you greet your friends and family in the lobby after the shows. Seeing the joy, pride, and love is the fuel I need to continue doing this year after year.
For many of you, this is your first experience being involved with a theatre production - whether it be on the stage, or off. I am so proud of you for taking a chance on this, for risking, and growing along the way. This work is not easy, and you all rose to the challenge. The skills we learn through theatre extend far beyond just singing, dancing, acting, and creativity. Whether this was your first show with us, or your last, I truly hope you will use this as a learning experience - not only to make you a better performer on stage, but to be a better person all around.
To the adults who have helped along the way - I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for the many ways each of you have contributed to making this show one we can all be proud of. We truly are "All In This Together", and this show, at it's heart, is an example of our "One Family, One Dacula" motto. I am so lucky to have had each of you be a part of this.
With Love, and Gratitude,
- Ms. Rawlins
(aka Dacula High School's Ms. Darbus)
