 BIOS 

Hank West (Erik Blake) has been part of the Charlotte/Metrolina theater scene for over 35 years now as an award-winning performer, theater advocate and theatre fan and is excited and honored to be a part of this incredible cast and crew. It's been 30 years since he has performed with DCP. In the summer of 1994, he performed in both summer shows: Larry Shue's THE FOREIGNER (Ellard) directed by Craig Spradley, and in A. R. Gurney's THE OLD BOY (Perry) directed by Hansford Epes. Recent productions include LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT (James Tyrone) with Rock Hill Theatre, A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Scrooge) with Theatre Charlotte (which he will reprise in December) and THE WOMAN IN BLACK (the actor) with Proxymoron Productions. Favorite roles include Richard in Richard III, Nijinsky in Nijinsky's Last Dance, the gentleman in The Story of the Little Gentleman, Mozart in Amadeus, John Merrick in The Elephant Man, and Bette Davis in Me and Jezebel. He would like to thank Glynnis for this incredible opportunity and he would like to dedicate this to the memory of Chip Davis. And to all: Imagination is Power!

 

Anne Lambert (Deirdre Blake) has been acting on Charlotte stages for many years. Favorite recent roles include: Sheriff Jane Morton in Charlotte’s Off-Broadway’s MTA-Award winning production of THUMBS, Andrea in COB’s MY DINNER WITH ANDREA, the Nurse in SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE for Central Piedmont Community College, various roles in Three Bone Theatre’s OSLO, and Mattie Fae Aiken in two different productions of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY (Lee Street/St. Thomas Players and Carolina Actor’s Studio Theater). Under her own Charlotte’s Off-Broadway banner, she produces and directs shows in COB’s 55-seat black box theater space in the VAPA Center in Charlotte. Alyssa Whiting (Aimee Blake) While she’s no stranger to the stage, this is Alyssa’s first time working with Davidson Community Players. It has been several years since last performing and she is so happy to be making her return to acting with this incredibly moving piece. Some of her favorite previous roles in the area include BLITHE SPIRIT (Edith) with Lee Street Theatre, MARY POPPINS (Mary Poppins) with Uwharrie Players, and DOG SEES GOD (CB’s Sister) with Appalachian Creative Theatre. She thanks you all for supporting live theatre and thanks her husband, Kelvin, for supporting her.

 

Breanna Suarez (Brigid Blake) is a Theatre Arts teacher at Ashbrook High School. She graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. in Educational Studies. She has previously been seen on the DCP stage as Veronica Sawyer (HEATHERS) and Mimi Marquez (RENT). She is so grateful for this opportunity to learn from Charlotte’s best. 

 

Wandy Fernandez (Fiona "Momo" Blake):   Wandy is thrilled to be back on stage after a twenty-two-year hiatus and is thankful to DCP for this opportunity.  Wandy has been in over 20 stage productions. Her latest were the Los Angeles productions of FRIDA KAHLO – STROKE OF ANGUISH (Frida Kahlo) and EVA PERON THE ENIGMA (Eva Peron).  Some of her film credits are: STAND AND DELIVER (Claudia’s Mother) GHOST BUSTERS II (Maria) and CROSSING OVER (Hispanic Woman).  Some of her  TV credits:   5 episodes of GREY’S ANATOMY (Circulating Nurse), SEINFELD (DMV Clerk),  3 episodes of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS  (Consuela) and the 2022 remake of SAVED BY THE BELL (The Abuela).  Wandy dedicates this run to her husband Steve and also to Anibal, Mona Lee Schilling and her wonderful group of  friends.

 

Ryan Miles (Richard Saad) is an actor from Charlotte NC. He started when he was in high school and in local community theaters. As a director he has done a plethora of short films. He directed and performed in OUR TOWN and WAIT UNTIL DARK at Lee Street Theater. He is most know for his work on DRACULA (Renfield), MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS (Victor Flemming), and AND THEN THERE WERE NONE (Detective Willam Blore) as well as worked on films such as HUNGER GAMES, IRON MAN 3, YOU ARE HERE, and on the BANSHEE, and HOMELAND series. He thanks his family for their amazing support and for this wonderful opportunity.
