A Note From the Director:
The story of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown is one that is familiar to anyone who has read The Peanuts comic strip. The loveable characters and their adolecant antics have been a common image in households for decades. What may not be as familiar, though, are the lessons that can be learned from each member of the gang.
We learn to find joy in the small things from Charlie
We learn to fight for ourselves from Sally
We learn confidence and imagination from Lucy
We learn passion and dedication from Schroeder
We learn compassion and to love others uniquely from Linus
We learn enthusiasm in everything from Snoopy
You see, there is much more to the story of The Peanuts than we may have realized. We learn valuable lessons from each of them, in ways we might not expect. That's part of what has made this process so fun and unique; we've found depth and meaning in unexpected places. It has caused this group to become a family, not unlike The Peanuts gang themselves.
A few thank you's:
To DC Administraiton: Thank you for seeing the value of what we were doing, and always saying "yes" as adjustments needed to be made.
To Renee, Kim, Melody, and Ric: I couldn't do what I do without your tireless efforts in putting this show together. You have vision for things where I do not, and creativity beyond measure. What a team!
To My Seniors:
Ashley: Character creator extroidinaire. You made Snoopy the coolest and funniest dog around!
Ben: You never say "no" to my crazy ideas. I'm so glad you (officially) joined the family this year
Jordan: Your leadership and care are invaluable. Talent and class in spades.
Mikey: Funny and sunny! So glad you are a part of our family!
Michael: You were such a great leader of our ship. Charlie came to life under your care!
Anna: Jack of all trades--sunshine personified. Glad you are a member of the cast family!
God has been so gracious to us through this entire process. Not only in the overwhelming talent that He has given to each member of this cast and crew, but also in the people He placed along the way of the process that said "yes" to every pivot we had to make. Although we faced a few hurdles along the way, they were not surprises to our Great God. Those hurdles forced us to trust Him even more to see us through, and He did. As He always does. This process reminded us time and time again that His mercies are new EVERY morning. To God be the glory!
Enjoy the show!
