  • SAUNDRA MCCLAIN**

    Director

    Over 40 years as a performing arts specialist, Ms. McClain has worked in all aspects of the theatre discipline, both as an actor and director, performing in numerous shows on and off Broadway, films, and several guest-starring & recurring roles on TV. As an actor and director, she has been nominated for several Ovation and NAACP Theatre Awards, in 2019 the LA Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Lead Actor in a Play. She has taught/guest-directed at Queens College, California Lutheran University, AMDA, AADA, Pomona College & California State University- Fullerton, and holds an MFA in Directing. She has recently collaborated with Clinton Turner Davis on their book, Career Paths of African American Directors: Pushing Boundaries for Routledge Publishing.

  • RAÉLLE DORFAN

    Choreographer

    Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Raélle Dorfan immigrated to California, where she went on to graduate summa cum laude from UCLA’s World Arts and Culture, Dance and Choreography Department. Beginning her training under the Royal Academy of Dance, Raélle furthered her studies in various forms of movement, Pilates and musical theater, and continued to pursue her passion for arts and culture as a performer, choreographer, creative director, teaching artist, administrator and producer. Raélle has performed and created repertoire shared at some of California’s most prestigious venues including; McCallum Performing Arts Center, Cerritos PAC, Redlands Bowl, James Armstrong Theater, Levitt Pavilion, A Convention Center, Japan American Theater, Theatre Raymond Kabbaz, UCLA's Freud Playhouse and Fowler Museum, and is delighted to be a part of Parade's artistic team!

  • JON SPRIK

    Assistant Director

    is honored to serve as assistant director for this production. He previously collaborated with Saundra McClain on The Play That Goes Wrong (Santa Barbara CC). As an actor, his Los Angeles credits include The Road Theatre (company member), The Victory Theatre Center, Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum, and The Curtis Theatre. His regional work spans Off-Broadway, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Titan Theatre, Door Shakespeare, Texas Shakespeare Festival, Powerhouse Theatre, and Hope Repertory Theatre. Jon earned his MFA from the University of Houston’s Professional Actor
