From the hit motion pictures, television series, and international stage success, "Fame" is nothing short of a global phenomenon! Set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street (1980-1984), "Fame Jr." is the bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor, and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today.
It has been an honor leading your students through this journey and watching them create relationships and experience this together.
The dedication that I have witnessed has been extraordinary. As many of these students said in the bios, our musical was canceled last year due to covid. To be able to come together and put a show together in 9 weeks has been really exciting.
To my PVC Students who sat day in and day out watching from afar this production come together, I wish I could have done more for you, and I look forward to the day when in-person school is a possibility for you,
Thank you to all of the parents who helped their students with costumes, transportation, love, and support. They are lucky to have you!
To all my 8th graders moving on to high school, my wish for you is to continue taking risks and pushing yourself to do things in your life that may be out of the box or scary. You will always have a place in my heart; we have been through many transitions in the past year. Learn how to "Fly, High."
We will meet again!
With Gratitude,
Ms. Kahn
