Contemporary Musical Theater Cabaret - October 16

Digital Dramatics

 End Notes

Notes From The Director

2020 has been, by far, one of the strangest years that I have lived through. With a global pandemic going on, theatres closing down across the world, and having to stay away from friends and family for their own safety, it's been a very isolating year for many. That's why I consider myself so lucky to have found Digital Dramatics and to have been given a space to create and connect with so many wonderful people from the safety of my own living room.

I could not have asked for a better team. The time and dedication they have put into this have been unparalleled. From early mornings to late nights, I've never heard them complain; they've always been excited to get to work right away. Not to mention they are some of the most talented individuals I've had the pleasure of working with. I'm constantly blown away by the work they've been bringing into rehearsals and I am so eager to share it with the world.

To my crew: Thank you, thank you, thank you. I could not have done this without the support of each and every one of you. You guys were able to take my crazy ideas and make it into something cohesive and brilliant. Izzy and Isaac, our cast have never sounded more beautiful and that is entirely thanks to you two. You've been able to create music that makes me feel like I'm sitting live inside a theatre. Anna, you truly have been able to take my vision, run with it, and make it your own. I would have never thought to reimagine classical ballet into angst and edgy music. Your creativity blows me away daily. To my stage management team, you three are truly the backbone of this production. Thank you for always being there to run through ideas, schedule and organize everything, and for constantly supporting me and my decisions. This show wouldn't be happening without you. Mark, I can't even begin to describe how much you have blown me away with your work. Thank you for all the late nights and hard work to make my dreams for this show come true. I couldn't have asked for a better person to collaborate with.

Thank you, all of you.

To my cast: Your guys' hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed! Thank you for all of the work you have all put in. From 7am rehearsals to moving into University to dancing with your pets running around your feet, you guys have truly been through it all for me and for this show, and I'm eternally grateful. I truly believe I could not have been blessed with a more perfect cast. Each of you fits the rolls you are performing so beautifully and I'm so lucky to have gotten to see you all grow and flourish over the last 2 months. I love each and every one of you.

To my roommates: Thank you for helping me through this process. From running ideas past you guys to letting me con you into making special appearances in the show, I really can't thank you three enough for supporting me through this whole process. You guys truly deserve so much recognition.

To our audience: It is my true honor to be putting this show forward. So please, sit back, relax, and enjoy Digital Dramatic's first cabaret.

Notes from the Artistic Director of Digital Dramatics
Digital Dramatics is a theatre company like no other. When I messaged Cassie about doing A Very Potter Musical, I had no idea the amazing world that I was creating. Since May, we have worked so hard to create an amazing company filled with some of the most incredible people I have ever met. Every single person in the company shows compassion and an overwhelming amount of talent on the daily. Being able to work alongside all of these wonderful people has been an absolute pleasure not only as choreographer but as Artistic Director. To the cast and crew of the cabaret, thank you so much for your dedication and hard work. You all have put your blood, sweat, and tears into this process and being able to watch you all work has truly touched my soul.

-Anna Gould, Artistic Director
