Welcome Family and Friends!
This show is filled with magical adventure and messages that will delight you and make you think a great deal about family and what we value in our relationships. Important to note too, is that the stage production and the movie, that many are more familiar with are very different. It has been great fun for the cast and crew to bring the stage characters to life and find ways to create magical moments that just seem to abound when Mary Poppins is around.
As with many shows, this production has become a community project reaching the parents who have volunteered hours making sets, props, costumes, programs, and in short all areas of production, to our Dodson art teacher who has helped with creating props to the Tech Crew to our Creative Team who help glue it all together. Indeed, I am often afraid to mention names in that I may forget one of the SO MANY who have given so much time, love, and support for musical theatre this school year.
Most importantly, enjoy the story being brought to you by one of the more dedicated cast and crew members that I have been privileged to work with. They have grown so much in their dance, vocal, and acting skills since the auditions and I know each performance will bring different experiences and rewards for their personal growth.
Mary Poppins is a show that I have wanted to bring to life for a long time and it is simply Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
