Downriver Actors Guild

 Letter From The Artistic Director

Welcome to Downriver Actors Guild’s (DAG) Ghost Light series. As Artistic Director, I am responsible for the artistic vision and direction of the non-profit.  Downriver Actors Guild welcomes all people to take part in the joy of theater helping to nurture self-confident, problem solving citizens creating a stronger community. Our vision is to be a leading artistic and economic driver for Wyandotte and the Downriver area. Our mission is to enrich lives in our community with quality entertainment, education and artistic engagement.

Since the theater’s conception, DAG has expanded its artistic reach through the development of our Youth Summer Camp, Avenue Angels, Avenue A Cappella, Downriver Dance Academy, and our newly launched streaming service. We continue to work with local and professional artists to bring high quality entertainment to our theater, and directly to your home.

DAG maintains close relationships with businesses and other organizations throughout the Downriver area. Our goal is to both strengthen and expand these relationships as we move forward. We see the Theatre on the Avenue as a destination for local residents and visitors from the region and the state.

During normal operations, DAG offers a bold, daring, and adventurous 12 show season consisting of classics, comedies, dramas, edgy, new, and youth driven. We also feature special events and concerts. Our season is chosen carefully ensuring we have something for all artistic likes.  We are now bringing that entertainment directly to your living room.

It goes back to the idea of community engagement. DAG and Theatre on the Avenue look forward to becoming even more central to the civic life of Wyandotte and the surrounding areas.

Thank you for your support and enjoy the show.
