Drury Lane Theatrical Productions

 Production Notes

Message from the President

It is with pride and honour that I write this as the new President of Drury Lane Theatrical Productions. I am proud to lead a strong group of volunteers, leaders, and most of all members and supporters.

The theatrical year of 2020-21 was a tough haul for the team with the closure and loss of many significant players and I want to thank all of you for your continued support which has kept us strong and afloat. 2021-2022 looks to be a tremendous start to a new beginning and I cannot thank enough the Production Team of Carrie, Michael, Anne, Carol, and the entire entourage who have worked diligently to prepare All Together Now which describes our family to a tee! We are one as a family of entertainers – either onstage or off stage, and we act as one.

This is the beginning of a great year. We hope you will enjoy this production as much as the team has in preparing it for you.

Here’s to the 2021-22 Season!

Randy Bridge, President Drury Lane

Message from the Director

I would like to welcome all of you to our virtual production of All Together Now. This worldwide event is an opportunity for theatres to get back on their feet after a devastating year and a half. As artists, being declared “non-essential” was extremely painful to hear. Arts and Culture contributes approximately $26 billion into Ontario’s economy, creating more than 269,000 jobs. According to StatsCan, across Canada, the financial contribution is approximately $59 billion and 715,400 jobs. This all sounds pretty essential to me, does it not?

The arts are meant to inspire, educate, and entertain. It allows us to experience something beyond ourselves and our own life circumstances, even if it just for an hour or two.

We are slowly opening our doors again to our faithful patrons. Capacity limits continue to increase. All of us at Drury Lane are eagerly anticipating that day in the very near future, when our theatre will once again be full of singing, dancing, music, laughter…and audiences. All of us as a community, collectively rejoicing that we are back!

Thank you for your continued support.

Michael MacLennan
