We love stories; young and old. Stories are powerful; fairy tales, tall tales, fish stories, family stories, histories. They take us to magical places, keep values alive, inspire, entertain, caution and seep their way into the way we see the world. Still, every kid and grown up knows there's more than one version of what "really" happened. When America's popular playwright (and Glass audience favorite) Lauren Gunderson wrote new, fresh and smart version of a favorite classic, we couldn't wait to bring it to life for you. In "Peter Pan And Wendy," we get to hear Barry's story through Wendy, Tiger Lily and the Lost Boys' points of view and root for them as they break out their abilities, put their heads and hearts together, and help their friend Peter to really grow. Could this be a new favorite? You can be the judge!
This cast and crew have had so many "Aha!" moments understanding and creating this show. We hope you do too! At Glass Theatre we know that theatre empowers students by cultivating empathy, community and a strong work ethic. The tradition continues, thanks to our EC Glass family, supportive parents, energetic boosters and YOU, our Lynchburg audience and community. Please, keep coming back for the rest of our 2024-25 season and supporting these remarkable EC Glass kids. They are Lynchburg's future storytellers, history makers and powerful community builders for years and years to come.
