Director's Notes
This show is special to me for a couple different reasons. When I taught 6th during the Covid year of online school, I was very lucky to have a class of 30 6th graders who would turn on their cameras and say "Good moring Mr Rock." I had heard horror stories of other teachers saying that no one in their classes would turn on their cameras and they taught all year to blank screens. My kiddos that year helped me get through that crazy year. I read 2 books that year to them as read alouds: Hatchet and The Lightning Thief. They seemed to enjoy me reading in my different voices and I loved reading to them. I dedicate this show to my covid babies.
This is also my 4th year teaching here, which means that I'm a senior this year. It will be my first group of graduates that I have had all 4 years and I am going to miss them. But just like shows, theres always a new crop around the corner.
