The East Brainerd Community Theater is a ministry of Christ United Methodist Church and exists to connect and build relationships between the church and the community through quality, meaningful, family-friendly theatrical experiences. Every show we present is the work of volunteers from our church and community. All are welcome.

Giving Back
Please join us in giving back to the East Brainerd community. Many people who are housing insecure stop by the church weekly because they are unable to get to the Food Bank downtown. The Cast and Crew of The Nerd are collecting the following items for this population: Peanut Butter, Tuna Packets, Ritz Crackers, Vienna Sausages, and granola bars. You can help us in the lobby at intermission. Donation jars will be set up and you can vote (with your spare change, small or large bills, or checks made out to CUMC) for the character in our play whom you would most like to have stay with you indefinitely. The winner will be announced at the end of the show. All donations will be used to purchase more food items that will be available by request in the church office.
