East Lansing - August 31

East Lansing Stage Play

 Acknowledgements

The cast and creative team behind East Lansing would like to individually thank some of the many people who helped nurture this project from an idea into a professional stage play:

Minneapolis:

The Minneapolis cast of East Lansing: Melissa Hart (Mary), Bob Davis (Matthew) and Andrea San Miguel (Kimberly) showed us what the play could be. They were extraordinary. Hannah Joyce-Hoven did an exceptional job coordinating that performance.

The Minneapolis Playwrights' Center: Christina Ham and Tory Stewart  provided dramaturgical analyses of the script and advice on character development.

Orlando:

Don Salvo at Stetson Lifelong in Celebration was the initial spark for this project  and an invaluable advisor during its journey. Toni Castillo provided support and encouragement.

The Playwrights Roundtable read and commented on the script frequently during its development.

Tampa:

Lil Barcaski warmly welcomed East Lansing to Tampa and introduced us to the people critical for making this production happen.

Karla Hartley and her encyclopedic knowledge of everything theater helped with a host of topics like rehearsal space and contracting.

The Tampa Bay Theatre Association and Jon Palmer Claridge included us in the Unified Auditions and gave us a start in building a Tampa cast.

Amanda Bearrs guided us on sets and make-up.

Suzy Devore provided expertise on acting and directing.

And especially, Rory  and Kahlila Lawrence who created the Tampa Bay Theatre Festival.  They are an inspiration.
