    Director

    Mrs. Taser earned her teaching credential from University of the Pacific with a double major in English and Theatre. She earned her Master's Degree in Dramatic Art from UC Davis. In addition, she studied acting and screen writing at the UCLA Academy of Visual and Performing Art, attended the High School Summer Institute at the Ashland Shakespeare Festival, and spent over ten years studying music and voice. Mrs. Taser earned a Hollywood Drama-Logue Award for acting for the role of Rachel in To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday and appeared on stage in numerous plays and musicals. She can be heard the original cast albums for Metaphasia and Thumbalina. She performs at wineries, civic events and private parties as part of the band Frankie & Annette. Mrs.Taser taught elementary school for two years and high school at St. Mary's for three years prior to joining the faculty at East Union. This is her 24th year of teaching.

    Gary Fritzen

    Music Director

    Mr. Fritzen graduated from Long Beach State University with a BA in Choral/Vocal Music. He has over 25 years of high school classroom experience teaching choir, guitar, piano, music appreciation and AP Music Theory. Additionally, Mr. Fritzen served as an Adjunct Professor of Music for Santa Monica College, which debuted several of his original musical works including Alice and the Trials of Wonderland, Tibet, Uncle Vanya and Thumbalina. A prolific playwright, Mr. Fritzen authored numerous musicals including the award-winning Metaphasia and his newest, America 9-11, which debuted at the Utah Freedom Festival in in 2016. His first book "Little Twig of Thorns," based on an original ballet, was made available on Amazon in the winter of 2017.  Mr. Fritzen’s newest musical, A Stitch in Time, piloted in a Zoom production in 2020.

    Stage Manager/Lights

    Brooklynn is reprising her role as Stage Manager, having previously filled the role for the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Outside of the theatre Brooklynn is heavily involved in school activities, as she is the Clubs & Academics Editor of the Phenix Yearbook, and an active member of the Future Teachers Club, Social Justice club, and GSA.
