Jeremy Cooley

Director

Mr. Cooley is an actor, singer, performer, director, and educator, and is excited to make fetch happen with Mean Girls this year at Edison! Mr. Cooley has been performing his whole life, but began doing so professionally in 2017 with WestBeat, an a cappella group based in Anaheim, CA. He returned to acting in 2019 in The Hatmaker’s Wife at the Long Beach Playhouse, directed by Shinshin Tsai, and has continued in several productions since. Other recent acting credits include Miles in She Kills Monsters, Billy Bones/O’Brien in Treasure Island, and Marcus G. in Yellow Face.

Mr. Cooley has been directing theatrical productions since 2010, and has been teaching full-time since 2017. Mean Girls is the 3rd show and 2nd musical he has directed at Edison High School.

Thanks to Mrs. Cooley for her endless patience and love, the amazing directing team for making this very difficult show easier, and the cast and crew for their immense hard work over the past four months.

Jessica Ordaz

Music Director

Jessica is thrilled to be music directing Mean Girls! This is her first show with Edison HS but she is no stranger to working in a production team. Although her passion is performing onstage, Jessica has always had a heart for music directing, directing & choreographing, & has been working for theatres across LA/Orange County since 2008. She has studied piano, voice & music theory since the age of 5 & continues to practice her craft through teaching & performing. A professional performer since 1999, Jessica has worked with companies such as 3DT, McCoyRigbyEnt, Candlelight Pavillion, Lewis Family Playhouse, PVPA, Disneyland Resort, & Knott's Berry Farm, & sings with WestBeat & The Mistletones.
