Dear Ellington Community Theatre Friends and Neighbors,
It’s hard to believe that another year has passed and we are bringing our eighth full length production to the stage! We are excited to expand our show run from one weekend to two for the first time this year, giving our incredible cast and crew more chances to share their talent with our wonderful community. Once again, the ECT Board of Directors has worked tirelessly all year to raise the necessary funds to make our shows come to life each summer. As our community grows, so does our list of people to thank for their time and efforts to make this production a success.
First, a very special thanks to the many volunteers who have spent the past year donating their time and expertise to help our theatre continue to grow. Whether they spent many hours at the UConn Basketball Concession stands at Gampel, helped us paint sets and sew costumes, or signed up to help out in the house or backstage, our volunteers’ efforts have been integral to the success of this and every ECT production. Thank you for believing that our mission, to create an intergenerational theatre experience, is a valuable part of the Ellington Community.
Thank you to our wonderful local sponsors who have once again decided that our local theatre is a worthy investment. We surely could not continue our mission without your support. We are so grateful to count you as members of our community. (And to our audience, please be sure to support these local businesses!)
To the Ellington organizations including Ellington Public Schools and Ellington Farmer’s Market, who generously make room for us each year, thank you! To the EPS custodians who keep the space clean and are ready to help when emergencies pop up, thank you! You are all a vital part of our team and we are grateful for your dedication and generosity..
Our sincere appreciation to our talented creative team and crew members! Thank you for dedicating so much time and effort to bring this story to life through your artistry, both on stage and off. We are so grateful that once again you’ve put your hearts and talent into this production.
And finally to our performers, including our cast members and musicians, thank you for lending your talent and passion to our production. We are so grateful that you chose to spend your summer sharing your creativity on our stage; know that you will always have a place in our ECT family.
Ellington Community Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit theatre, run by a volunteer board of directors. Contact ectboardofdirectors@gmail.com or follow us on Facebook or Instagram if you are interested in joining our ECT Community.
