He has appeared in feature films (Touched by Grace), Emmy-winning reality television (Born This Way), and documentaries (The R Word; Upside Down). He has written op-ed pieces published all over the world. He is an articulate advocate, best known for his impassioned defense of the value of life with Down syndrome in testimony to the US House Appropriations Committee and the United Nations Committee on Human Rights.
Frank has logged hundreds of thousands of miles all over the world addressing audiences large and small, including students from middle school to Harvard Law School. Frank has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Tesori Family Foundation and Special Olympics Virginia.
Frank is especially proud to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation and to have helped Global increase funding for Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s Research. Before Global began its efforts in Washington, Down syndrome was the most common and least funded genetic anomaly in the world. Frank is currently serving as a national spokesman for the Trial Ready Cohort organized by NIH to assist with new Alzheimer’s and Down syndrome research.
Frank is proud to be the first actor to bring Billy to life on the New York stage and invites you to join him in this wonderful experience.
