The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee - September 15 - September 30, 2023

Facetime Theatre

 Who's Who

  • Megan Anderson head shot

    Megan Anderson

    as Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre

Megan is jubilant to be back on the Facetime stage in her third mainstage production! Some of her previous roles here include Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, Mrs. Phelps in Matilda, Mother Foster in Tuck Everlasting, and a weeping wedding guest in Jekyll and Hyde. Aside from her exploits on this very stage, Megan is a 5th grade teacher at Villa Maria Academy, a baking enthusiast, and a former spelling bee champion! She is also very accomplished at pronouncing the letter “S.” Megan would like to thank all her past anxiety attacks and her hyperactive students who have informed her performance, her friends and family who have always supported her in all her endeavors, and the entire cast and crew for creating both a show and an unforgettable experience full of laughter and childlike joy.

  • Andy Ball head shot

    Andy Ball

    as Chip Tolentino

Andy is thrilled to be back on the Facetime stage! His most recent roles include Gabe in Footlighters’ production of Next to Normal and Collins in Facetime Theatre’s Rent. When Andy isn’t performing or tracking down the lost city of El Dorado with his dad, he spends time at home with the love of his life, Ryan. Together they have a traveling road show where they perform a two man staged production of the film Shutter Island.

  • Vanessa Barnes head shot

    Vanessa Barnes

    as Ensemble/Leaf's Mom/Girl/Others

Vanessa is enthused to be working with Facetime Theatre for the first time! She basically gets to play herself in this show — the biggest 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee fan her friends know. She is obsessed with the crossword, and used to carry around a dictionary to find new words. Some favorites are: pastiche, sardonic, blithe, and psychopomp. Being a good speller has not behooved her life path in any way, but she does get a kick out of it! When she’s not onstage, she is always making art, writing songs, and playing D&D (which is a great way to learn improv skills!)

Vanessa is so grateful to the production team for letting her be part of this talented cast in bringing to life one of her all-time favorite shows. She sends thanks to her castmates who have been so kind to her, to her bois for their support, and to her creative and life partner, Rob, who always made sure to play musical cast recordings when picking her up from rehearsals.
