Welcome to Agrabah, City of Enchantment,
Aladdin’s story has been around for hundreds of years, but our show is based on the 1992 Disney adaptation.It is the 10th highest-grossing Broadway production of all time, having grossed $500 million at the Broadway theatres as of August 2022. It has been seen by more than 17 million people and it's still going strong--currently on Broadway and also as live version movie remake. At Fantasia, we love fairy tales and this is a great one for young and old alike.
Imagine a street urchin ending up as a Prince, who marries the prize Princess of the kingdom. This scenario seems perfectly logical to our young actors and it is quite fun seeing this plot through their eyes. This timeless classic has many lessons for all of us. “Be yourself” is an important theme of Aladdin and we saw it come alive right before our eyes!
