Larry Pressgrove Music Supervisor
has been music director for more than 15 musicals at La Guardia including All Shook Up, In The Heights, and 42nd Street. He was Music Director/Arranger for the Tony-nominated [title of show] on Broadway, for Now. Here. This. at the Vineyard Theatre, and Associate Music Director for Disaster! (Broadway). He was music director/arranger for Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas at Goodspeed Opera House (dir. Chris Gatelli) and has been music director/conductor for Cats (Broadway), Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera (national tours). He is also on the faculty at Neighborhood Playhouse.
Andrew Hienz Sound Designer
has been a sound designer and engineer for 10+ years and is excited to be back for his fourth LaGuardia High School show. Credits inlcude LAG: All Shook Up, Chicago, Rent. Broadway: Water for Elephants. National Tours: Mrs. Doubtfire, Jersey Boys.
J.D. Hopper Lighting Designer
is a lighting designer for theater, architecture, and immersive experiences based in NYC. Select design credits include Spring Awakening (Breaking Borders IPA/The Center at West Park), Matilda (Forestburgh Playhouse), Natasha, Pierre...Great Comet (Playhouse on the Square), Cinderella (Sitka Fine Arts), and the 50th anniversary production of Godspell at Carnegie Mellon University. J.D. holds a BFA in Lighting Design from Carnegie Mellon. He is thrilled to be working alongside these talented young artists.
Deirdre (Dede) Kavanagh Props Deisign
has worked in the theater for 40 yrs as a costume designer, textile painter, dyer, and crafts supervisor. Dede worked with the original Broadway team of Into the Woods, and has worked on numerous other Broadway shows, such as Cats and Zorba, as well as in film, television, dance and opera. She is happy to have returned to LaGuardia for her 9th year of teaching and sharing her knowledge with the talented tech students in this terrific production.
