Ashley Mendelson
as Soprano
Ashley is a soprano and second-year member of the group. Ash is a junior majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies at FIU. She is an assistant at a Mixed Martial Arts school and certified to be a preschool teacher across the United States.

Andy Mulkay
as Beatboxer/Bass
Andy is a second-year member who is a bass and the vocal percussionist for HEARTbeats, as well as being this year’s Music Director. Andy was a soloist at Carnegie Hall in 2018 and is one of the top 4 loopers in the nation. He is a sophomore at FIU majoring in music technologies. Any performance featuring the whole group tonight was edited and mixed by him.

Samantha Gonzalez
as Mezzo
Samantha is a mezzo-soprano and E-Board member making her second year with the group. She is a sophomore at FIU majoring in Psychology and minoring in Theatre. On top of a cappella, Sam is also a musical theater performer. She would like to thank her family for constantly listening to her rehearsing and recording through the walls.

Hanna Sotolongo-Miranda
as Alto
Hanna is a second-year member of HEARTbeats. She is a contralto, so you sometimes see her featured as a tenor throughout the show. She is a sophomore in the Honors College majoring in Marine Biology and hopes to become a researcher one day, but her studies will never dampen her love of music!

Katherine Castineiras
as Mezzo
Katherine is a new mezzo-soprano joining the group this year. She is a sophomore at FIU majoring in both Psychology and Spanish. She is an aspiring doctor, but also a songwriter who adores music. Kat was also a part of an a capella group at her previous school, UF.
