This year's production saw many unique challenges,
with new schedules, new teachers, rehearsals in hallways, smaller cast, and more; yet, the students rose to the challenge, remained flexible, and put forth their best effort with everything they did. I am so proud of all that they have accomplished and the determination and gumption they showed throughout the process.
Theatre Arts provides so much for the developing child and significantly impacts their academic, cognitive, social, behavioral, and motor development. I personally have seen significant improvements in their reading, speech, orientation & mobility, public speaking, social, musical, and empathic skills, along with improved team building, self-esteem, recovery, problem-solving, emotional understanding, creativity, and a host of ECC and soft skills. Enjoy the performance, of course, but relish the journey and the process that instilled so much
along the way.
