THE INTERNATIONAL THESPIAN SOCIETY
The International Thespian Society (ITS) is an organization devoted to expanding and supporting the role of theatre arts in the schools and the lives of young people. To be eligible for membership in the national organization, students must accumulate 10 points according to a national scale—each point representing approximately 10 hours of work in a performance art or production duty.Members attend district and state festivals each year and may compete in numerous categories for awards and scholarships. Besides the obvious performance and critique benefits provided to participants, students who attend the festival are exposed to a vast array of performers, performances and career possibilities.Any student who is interested in theatre is welcome to be a part of the thespian troupe here at Ft. Walton Beach High School and is encouraged to attain national membership status. We meet the first and third Tuesday of each month from 2:00-2:30 in the drama room.
