Arsenic and Old Lace - June 11 - June 20, 2021

Garrison Players Arts Center

 End Notes

Notes from the Director:

It seems like I have been thinking about Arsenic and Old Lace for over a year now.  Maybe because I have! This play was supposed to debut in May of 2020 but we all know that didn’t happen.  I had the play cast in March 2020 and we all kept holding our breaths, crossing our fingers and revisiting this play every 4 months.  My cast stuck it out with me. I did lose some talented cast members but in the end I gained a few more and was able to cast individual roles without the need to double cast.

I have a new found love for theater actors.  Their determination and dedication to live theater is wonderful.  Rehearsals have been challenging to say the least but everyone had a positive attitude.

Abby and Martha Brewster have positive attitudes.  You fall in love with these ladies right at the very beginning.  Their determination and dedication to their charity work is like no other...even if it is a little twisted!

Whatever your passion is, take it on with determination and dedication.  If you wait long enough, it will be well worth it.

So here we are holding our breaths, crossing our fingers and hoping you love what a year worth of challenges has brought to the stage.

Welcome back! We've missed you!
