Christopher Cotten

as Burl

Chris Cotten knows being proudhearted is a sin, but he feels like his heart’s about to bust standing on the GCT stage with his family. Recent local roles include Once (Bank Manager) and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Rev. Peters) at Playhouse on the Square, The Clean House (Charles) and You Can’t Take It With You (Wilbur C. Henderson) at Theatre Memphis, and To Kill a Mockingbird (Boo Radley/Horace Gilmer) at Tennessee Shakespeare Company. At GCT, he directed and performed in Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash as well as the 2007 production of Smoke on the Mountain, in which he also played Burl. Chris holds an MFA in theatre with a concentration in directing from the University of Memphis.
Lorraine Cotten

as Vera

Lorraine is thrilled to be playing with family and friends in SOTM. Her most recent GCT appearance was as Diana in Next to Normal. Love to James, our roadie and best little man. Enjoy the show!
Katy Cotten

as Denise

Katy is so happy to be doing this show with the Cotten clan. They have recently been seen as Olive Ostrovsky in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, and Natalie Goodman in Next to Normal. Katy has been playing the cello for 10 years and is currently studying Musical Theatre at UofM with the class of ‘25. They want to thank their amazing cast for all of the heart put into this show, and their family for including them this time around.

as Dennis

Court is excited to be back at GCT. Last seen in Hattiloo Theatre's production of Porgy and Bess and Theatre Memphis' Our Town, he's versatile in any role. He's always involved in a show. Court would like to thank the incredibly talented cast and crew for putting together this amazing production.
