Justin Maller
Artistic/Musical/Technical Director
Mr. Maller began his musical career at Dr. Charles Best with the lead role in Bye Bye Birdie. Musicals then became a major part of his life and career. Mr. Maller is a graduate of UBC Music and Education programs. He has worked 22 years as a music and theatre educator in the Delta school district where he has served as an Artistic/ Musical/ Technical Director of over 13 musicals at the high school level. Mr. Maller has also performed with and/or worked for Theatre Under the Stars, Royal City Musical Theatre, and First Impressions Theatre. He is currently the Conductor of the Coquitlam Chorale and has recently produced Footloose, West Side Story, and Rent.
This is Mr. Maller’s fourth year teaching in the Coquitlam School District. He is overjoyed to be working in the district were he grew up and at such an amazing school as Gleneagle. Working with the students here has been a wonderful uplifting experience.

Jewel Epp
as Cinderella/ Music Captain
Jewel, who plays the role of Cinderella, is a grade 12 student in her second year of the Musical Theatre program. She is extremely passionate about Into the Woods and is honored to be a part of such a dedicated cast and crew. Jewel’s first role at Gleneagle, Joanne in Rent, inspired her to continue musical education and pursue music therapy upon graduation. She would like to thank her parents and directors who supported her through thirteen years of musical education, and hopes you enjoy the show!

Nathan Nishimura
as Jack/Music Captain
Nathan Nishimura is in grade 11 and this is his first year in any theatre program. That is not to say he hasn’t been excited to for many years. He’s excited to put on the best (and only) show of his life so far. He’d also like to thank his friends for helping him get into the program and his parents for putting up with the incessant singing of showtunes.

Rachel Abrams
as Giant
Rachel Abrams is in Grade 9 and is fourteen years old. She started musical theatre at a performing arts studio when she was seven up until she was thirteen. A few roles she played were Linus from Peanuts and Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast. Rachel enjoys the excitement she feels when performing. She would like to thank those who have given her encouragement over the years.
