DIRECTOR'S NOTE
Imposter Syndrome. The struggle is real. Even those of us that went to school or occupational training for years still occasionally feel unqualified for the job we do. That is one of the reasons that this play, a show about a con man that lies his way into occupations that he has no business getting into, speaks to me. Don’t get me wrong, I would never encourage my students to ever attempt the illegal things Frank Abagnale, Junior does, nor any illegal thing for that matter. However, the confidence that Frank uses can be a very versatile tool in our world. As Frank says to Brenda, “Act like you have confidence, and pretty soon you will.” Hopefully, we can all find our inner Frank, Junior.
