Claudia Warga-Dean studied at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke where she double majored in Theatre and English Education. While she was there she received a competitive acting scholarship and graduated with honors in both majors. Mrs. Dean is currently working on her Masters in Theatre from Texas A & M Commerce University.

A few of Mrs. Dean’s acting credits include: (UNCP) All in the Timing, Buried Child, Dead Man’s Cellphone, and Romeo and Juliet. (FTCC) Plaza Suit, Wait Until Dark, and Orpheus Descending (Directed by Mr. Dean ☺). (Gilbert) The Blueroom, Woyzeck, and Playballs.

In her fourth year teaching theatre arts at Gray’s Creek she is continually amazed by the caliber of dedicated and talented students here at GC and considers them not only students but family. A big thank you to her work wife, Amy Stovall for her talent, artistic vision, and friendship.

She would like to thank her husband and fellow companion in the arts, James Dean for all of his love and support and also for the their beautiful baby girl, Alba. Alba, you are our world.
