Hello and Welcome to "Disney's The Little Mermaid". We know you are in for an aquatic adventure today.
Thank you, the audience, for coming out and supporting our hard working students on this show. Without your support and love, none of this would be possible.
I need to send a special Thank You to our Scenic Desgin Team. This team of students is very dedicated and creative. They came up with all of the set pieces you see on stage and most of them were built from scratch. Since we completed our One Act, this team has been hard at work to create the world of "The Little Mermaid". I am so proud of each and every one of them.
Thank you to my actors who have worked extremely hard learning music, memorizing lines, learning choreography, and performing their hearts out. If you get a moment, please congratulate them on a job well done.
I could not have made this show happen without the help of Stacey Riedel, who costumed our entire show. From each mermaid fin to Eric's Jacket, she spent months gathering, altering, and creating these costumes. We are so grateful to Mrs. Riedle for being our costume mistress for this performance.
I would also like the time to thank a special friend of mine, Jennifer Purvis. Under Jen's direction, we made the puppets you will see on stage tonight. She is a genuis with EVA foam and does excellent work.
And finally, we would not be on this stage tonight without the love and support of our wonderful administration at Grayson High School. Dr. Walker, Dr. Richardson and Mr. Ayres have supported us from the beginning of this journey and we are eternally grateful for them helping to keep theatre alive at Grayson High School.
