The Beatles said it best: “Little Darlin’, it’s been a long and lonely winter…”
Actually, it’s been two of them.
Two years that have given us too many reasons to feel lonely, fearful, isolated, anxious,
nervous, worried and depressed.
One night, moaning about the state of the world, we wondered if the chaos was ever going to end happily – the way fairy tales always did.
But were all those happily-ever-afters really that happy? What if each ending was just the beginning? Yes, the Three Little Pigs, Red Riding Hood and the gang are pure fiction. But what if the problems they soon faced were all too real?
We had a great time on Zoom, thinking about that and writing about it. (We needed to laugh, too.) And that’s how After Happily Ever After was born. So for tonight, we hope you can put aside all the terrible events of the past years, sit back in your seats and have a good time.
After everything you’ve been through, you deserve it.
