as Narrator/Poet

A director, actress playwright, poet and educator with an MA in theatre from UH and a BA in theatre arts from Gambling State University, LA. She won Best Theatrical Performance for her original work, Worn Out Soles. She directed Pipeline for Firecracker Productions and The Bluest Eye and We Are Proud to Present at Bush Theatrical Ensemble. Destyne is also an amazing mom.
R'yhia Henix

as The Lost Child

R'yhia S Henix was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She is a student and Student Ambassador at Guy M. Sconzo Early College High School. Her extracurricular activities consist of pre professional dancing as a Houston Contemporary company member at the Institute of Contemporary Dance located in downtown Houston.
Loren Holmes

Dominique James

as Sarah Baartman

Dominique James, born and raised in Austin, TX. She has been in Houston since high school. Later found the love for dance through music. Participated on the drill team for 2 years, continued to pursue dance at UH and local dance studios. She became a full time dance teacher for HISD, Credits Include semi pro dance team coach/mentor, coaching girls to pursue NFL/NBA professional dance dreams, danced for Grammy nominated artist Tobe Nwiwge at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards and more.
Korie Richardson

as Strange Fruit Soloist

Korie is a New Orleans native, Houston raised, She is classically and commercially trained pro dancer. An alumna of the University of Oklahoma, her training includes ballet, modern, jazz, heels and hip-hop. A soloist in Exclamation Dance Company, NAACP ACTSO National title holder, a member of the NHS of Dance Arts, former competitive team member of dancezone.
