Ysa Malia Perez Mercado
Assistant Director
Ysa is a local islander who attended Montessori, BBMCS, Saint Francis Catholic School, IMS, GWHS & homeschool. She has participated in SFS honor choir directed by Cathy Calvo Cruz, Huråo CHamoru Academy & performed in various productions with GATE, FD & AOLG.
Ysa starred as “Mrs. Darbus” in High School Musical, “Motormouth Maybelle” in Hairspray, “The Matchmaker” in Mulan, “Maureen” in Rent, “Rosie” in WTP’s Mamma Mia!, “Mrs. Potts “ (2017) & “Madame Dela Grande Bouche” (2023) in Beauty and the Beast. Most recently, Ysa performed in a UOG senior showcase centered around cultural diversity, spirituality, education, i tano (the land), & i taotao (the people). She looks forward to focusing on the talent & skills that will be explored during these workshops, helping students & performers know how to make proper choices on & off the stage & making the next production better than the last.

Isaiah Aguon
Director of Commiunications/Social Media Manager
Isaiah Aguon is the Director of Communications for Guam Philharmonic Foundation, Incorporated and Social Media Manager for World Theater Productions.
Since joining the GPF and WTP teams on a part-time basis in 2021, Isaiah also worked in Guam media (radio/television/print) for four years. In June 2023, he moved from the private sector to work for the government of Guam. Isaiah serves as the chief of staff and communications advisor for the Office of Senator Dwayne T.D. San Nicolas at the Guam Legislature. Prior to being appointed chief of staff, he served as the deputy chief of staff and director of communications & outreach for Sen. San Nicolas.
Through GPF and WTP, Isaiah aims to develop his skills in marketing and digital/social media management while promoting the performing arts.

Joanne Matanane
Graphic Designer
Matanane is no stranger to the arts on Guam. She is a conductor, musician, and actor with over 30 years of experience, lending her talents to several local productions. Behind the scenes, she has stage and production management credits, as well as graphic design, artistic, and creative direction under her belt. Matanane is currently the Managing Director of the Tumon Bay Music Festival (TBMF) and is the Band Director at L.P. Untalan Middle School.
