A Note From the Director
Hello and welcome to this year's Musical Society production of Grease!
As a Carey alum, and especially a Carey theatre department alum, it is a pleasure to be back! Returning to Carey has brought back so many wonderful memories, those of which are filled with performing on this stage with all of my friends. It all feels very full circle. Last May, I received a lovely Instagram DM from my previous chorus teacher and director, Mr. Michael Moreno, asking if I was interested in becoming the new Sr. High Drama and Musical director, and the rest is history. I cannot thank him and our amazing Student Activities director, Mrs. Rosemary Merino, enough for all of their support and guidance.
When selecting this year's musical, I wanted to do something fun and exciting not only for the cast and crew, but for you, the audience as well! Grease is such a classic musical with numbers that just make you want to dance and sing along! I hope you have as much fun watching it as we did putting it all together!
These students have put in so many hours of hard work and dedication into making this a truly memorable production. It has been such a pleasure getting to know these extremely talented students and seeing their love for theatre blossom!
I would very much like to thank our wonderful music director, Mr. Michael Moreno, and our lovely choreographer, Mrs. Antonia Healy for all that they have done to make this production what it is! It has been so nice having the opportunity to work alongside my former teachers and collaborate with them. I simply could not have done it without them!
A big thank you is also in order to our stage crew advisor, Cathie Wright and our lights and sound advisor, Mr. Michael Ferraro. They both have been so helpful and gracious with making this production run as smoothly as possible!
With all that being said, thank you for continuosly supporting the arts and giving these students all of your love. It means the world to me to have you all here cheering everyone on. Without further adieu, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
