Stage Director, Karen Sipes, is pleased to present Peter Pan, Jr, the 10th junior musical to be produce at Highland by the Drama Club and Jr. Thespian Troupe. Peter Pan, Jr. was slated to hit the stage in May 2019, but due to the Pandemic, rehearsals were halted after 4 weeks of rehearsal time.Sipes, determined to get Peter Pan, Jr. on its feet, called the cast together to finish the show.Almost 50 % of the cast had either graduated to Anderson High School, moved out of town, or enrolled in other schools. When Sipes learned that MTI had widened the age restrictions to ANY AGE, she immediately went about filling the vacant spots. Now the cast is made of of students fromAnderson High School, Anderson Intermediate School, Anderson Preparatory Academy, K-12 Virtual, and Home Schooled students in true community theatre style.Anderson University musical theatre students who are working with the cast are also taking roles in the show. Some of the AHS student cast members are alumni from previous productions at Highland.Three faculty members are making their stage debuts in Peter Pan,Jr.
From the Director:
Prayer & Faith made this show fly! I am so proud of the cast, crew & creatives who were dedicated to making this show happen against all odds. I kept my sanity by looking to Heaven for patience and direction each time we hit a snag. A special thank you to the Chandler family who answered my call for help with, "Whatever you need!"
What a journey! Thank you for believing!
We are excited to offer you the opportunity to see the show through ShowTix4U. As soon as I get the information, I will post it.
