A Note from the Director
Welcome to Curtains, The Musical Comedy Whodunit! What a wonderful journey it’s been getting this show ready for you tonight.
I’ve always considered myself lucky that my passion in life is so intricately woven into my job. The luck extends itself beyond having daily of dose of theater and even sharing that passion with young people. It’s getting to share it with THESE people, in THIS moment, at THIS time. It’s precious and dazzling in every way. I’m proud of all the HHS Drama Club does, on stage and off, and I’m so proud of the people they are becoming.
A great big thanks goes out to the hardest working parent organization: Parents for Drama. They do so many things for the drama club which frees up the creative team to focus mainly on the students and production.
None of what happens here tonight developed in a bubble. I owe love and gratitude to all of my colleagues that work so diligently alongside me and for the students: Mike Doherty, Phaedre Sassano, Ryan Eschauzier, Alysia Campbell (alum), Liz Tronni (alum), Maureen Fish, Emily Brennan (alum) and Derelyn Kahler. I am better because of all you. Thank you.
To my seniors, you will be missed, but only after leaving your mark in both our hearts and memories. Make tonight shine bright.
On behalf of all the students in the cast, the orchestra and backstage – thank you for your support and well wishes. Enjoy the show!
Sincerely,
Anita Levy-Sisk
Director
