Young Frankenstein - June 07 - June 16, 2019

History Boy Theatre Company

 End Notes

Notes from the Director:

Most of you here have probably seen the the 1974 movie "Young

Frankenstein" and you know how funny it is. I mean who does comedy

like Mel Brooks? Well when they decided to turn it into a stage production on Broadway in 2007 Mel himself wrote the music and lyrics and I think it's even funnier.

This show was a giant challenge for us here at History Boy as we don't do the giant chorus type multi - set Broadway shows. Without new technologies (you'll see) we never would have attempted it. The biggest cast we've ever needed (and most of us are playing 2 or 3 roles), the most tech crew ever, and the choreography never ends. Well even with some new tricks I think we've staged it in a way that still feels like a History Boy production. And from all of us here at the History Boy family thank you so much for coming and supporting this art form that we love so.
