Mary Poppins, Jr. - March 15 - March 16, 2019

Holy Cross Academy

 End Notes

NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR

This is my fifth year as Director at Holy Cross Academy Drama Club.  Each year I encourage the cast to bring their creative and god-given talents to the show.  I would like to acknowlege that our star McKenna Withers, choreographed the "Step in Time" tap scenes for Mary Poppins and Bert.

Mary Poppins is a classic story that involves the theme of personal growth and serves as a poignant reminder to each one of of that the bonds between parents and children need to be nutured even in the midst of "real life problems" such as finances, work and social demands. Even in these modern times, taking our children to enjoy simple activities like flying a kite or to enjoy the day in the park, is priceless. We are also reminded to "look beyond" outward appearances and to be kind and compassionate to others.

Please support the dramatic arts at Holy Cross Acamedy by placing a donation in our top hat and making purchases from  our fabulous concession stand.

In our closing number, "Anything can Happen" raise your star wands in support of the cast and crew.  In our finale, George will cue you by inviting you to sing along in Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

I generally get the credit for a fantastic production, but the reality is I cannot do this without the solid support from the parent volunteers. This year in particular took an army to pull off.  I asked for financial support from our families to help us fund a contract with the production company, Dream Team Visions, LLC., to provide audiovisual support for our show, and they came through.

I am deeply thankful to our parents for each of the kind notes of support and the extraordinary effort of juggling schedules to attend rehearsals through the season.

In addition to our concessions, we have a few items for raffle. Thank you in advance for supporting  our fundraising efforts.

I am very proud of  the cast and crew for making this season a memorable one.

Break a Leg!

Ms. Ferraioli
