Holy Cross Regional High School

 End Notes

“I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.”

- Oscar Wilde

Each year, as I sit to compose these Director’s Notes, I am more and more swept away by the power of community. The cast, production staff, and other volunteers have worked tirelessly to bring this story to life for you amidst learning, laughter, excitement, and the pure joy of working together. These are definitely interesting times we are currently living in but how fortunate we are to still be able to present our annual drama production to the many friends and family who make up our audiences at our yearly shows. Together, we have experienced the wonder of transformation as we worked to bring this much loved story to a virtual stage.

It has been a complete joy to work with all these young actors and singers from Holy Cross Regional High School. They have worked very hard memorizing lines, contributing ideas, working on songs, and much more: I consider myself blessed to have had such a talented cast to work with. I am also grateful for all the assistance I have received from my colleagues throughout this production season: they worked remarkably hard to find a way for designers, actors, and crew members to come together to try their hand at creating a virtual production – and present the results to you.

I would like to congratulate Emma Jamal who is celebrating her fifth production with the Holy Cross Players; we have presented her with a 5 year achievement trophy this week. I would like to wish the best of luck to her and our other seniors on their future endeavors.

Tonight, please join the Holy Cross Players as Anna joins forces with mountaineer Kristoff and his reindeer sidekick to find Anna's sister, Snow Queen Elsa, and break her icy spell.
