Alexandria "Lexi" Ruppel
as Maria Rainer
Alexandria "Lexi" Ruppel is thrilled to perform her first leading role as Maria Rainer in Ignite Theater Company's The Sound of Music. In past productions, she played Mrs. Phelps and Ms. Honey's understudy in Matilda, Cowboy Bob and Rusty's understudy in Footloose, and ensemble roles in Elf the Musical and Grease. Alexandria is in the eighth grade and enjoys reading, drawing, performing and writing her novel. She loves animals and works at her family-owned business, Wolfgang’s Pet Stop. She'd like to thank her parents for their endless support and for tolerating her middle-of-the-night vocal warm-ups and the amazing Sound of Music directing team for their encouragement, dedication, and hard work.

Natalie Shelhauss
as The Mother Abbess
Natalie is a junior at Ladue High School and is part of the choir and a cappella group. She is part of COCA’s pre-professional division and the Allegro Vocal Company. Natalie is excited to join Ignite again for the Sound of Music! Many thanks to her family for supporting her love of the arts.

Norah Gatesh
as Sister Berthe/Nun Swing
Norah is 15 and is a Freshmen at Parkway Central High School. Norah has also been notably seen in Elf, Addams Family, The Wizard of Oz, and Footloose. She was also apart of the 2023-24 Ignite Elite Performance Team, joining them as Mrs. Mayor and Mayzie La Bird U/S at JTF 2024! Norah is thrilled to be a part of such an amazing show! Norah loves being able to create memories and a new edition to Sound of Music history! She would like to thank her friends and family for always being so supportive of her dreams to be on stage. Norah will be dedicating her performances to anyone struggling with mental health, she would like them to remember they are never alone and it will get better.
