DIRECTOR'S NOTE

My students (many of whom are graduates from the school) and I were crestfallen to learn that the allocation for the Theatre program at Seven Springs Middle School had been cut.  This was particularly meaningful for me since the Theatre program at Gulf Middle School ended when I accepted my current position at J.W. Mitchell High School.

We felt it was important to come up with a production that might include the Theatre students at Seven Springs Middle School who were hoping to have some sort of a creative dramatic outlet. Also, our school had never had an opportunty to do a Christmas play before.  So, in the interest of giving and in the spirit of community that is characteristic of this holiday, we decided to produce this beloved tale by Barbara Anderson.

If you have enjoyed this special collaboration between the middle school and the high school, please do what you can to insure that Theatre will come back to the students of Seven Springs Middle School.

My students and I would like to gratefully acknowledge the efforts and support from the two principals of the respective schools, Mr. Jim Micheals (J.W. Mitchell High School) and Dr. Christopher Dunning (Seven Springs Middle School).

Merry Christmas!!  And keep theatre live!!
